Fourth of July

A short video of Bailee on the night of Fourth of July. We had a great day! We went bowling, to some friends house for swimming and barbequeing. It was a great day. We so love our wonderful country and are grateful for our forefathers and their vision and wisdom in forming this country. We are truly blessed to live in the United States of America!!!!

Cutting teeth is hard to do

Yay! Austin has finally cut his first tooth. It was a long weekend with all of the diarrhea (which made for endless loads of laundry,) throw up and diaper rash. Austin is 14 1/2 old and I was really starting to wonder when he was going to start getting some teeth in. Now we're just waiting for him to walk :) He can walk but he just needs to decide that he wants to walk. Right now, he's comfortable with crawling and it's faster for him...for now :)

Perfect timing

My camcorder picked the PERFECT time to quit and die. After having it for almost four years I thought I was SOL but thought I should call Best Buy and see if Eric had gotten a warranty on it (I didn't know because it was a birthday present.) So I find out that Eric had gotten a four year warranty on it and it expired in about a month. We sent it off for it to be repaired then I got it in the mail yesterday with a paper saying it couldn't be repaired. So today I went into Best Buy and they swapped my old camcorder for a completely new one! Oh happy day! Thank you old camcorder for picking the perfect time to die and thank you Eric for being so smart to get the four year warranty! I knew I married you for a reason :)

Bailee's favorite song

Eric asked Bailee the other day what her favorite song was, she said, "Up Butt Coconut." Don't know that song? Take a look. Thank you Eric for showing Bailee this song (sarcasm.)

Bad words

Bailee is the "Bad Word Policeman" at our house, so I should have known better when the following happened:

The other day I was having a conversation with Eric while we were eating dinner. I can't remember what exactly I said but somewhere in my sentence I said the word "suck."

Bailee then says, "Mommy, don't say bad words or you're going to make Jesus cry."

Now if that doesn't make you feel bad for something you said then I don't know what will!

We are safe!

So you might be thinking, "Whatever happened to Whitney blogging every week or so?" Well I'm

still trying to make it a habit :) Life gets so busy and when I do get a minute, sometimes I don't want to blog. But like I said before, I'm trying to be better at blogging more often :D

Now that that's outta the way ;)

About a week ago we had a few major storms that came our way. Most of them resulted in tornadoes in other areas but thankfully in our area we didn't get one. I'm sure some of you heard of a town called Joplin, MI being almost complet

ely leveled by a tornado. Joplin is about 40-50 minutes away from us. One day the weather people were predicting huge storms to come through our area, (and since we don't have a basement in our home or a storm shelter) we were a little worried. We packed backpacks with food and some clothings and prayed we would need to use them. The storm was estimated to come in the middle of the night, so Eric stayed up waiting for it. Thankfully we were so blessed (with many many prayers from friends and family, I'm sure) and the storm had died down quite a bit by the time it got to our area and the tornado siren didn't even go off. I'm so thankful we were safe! This last weekend, Eric went up to Joplin with our church and helped clean up in Joplin. It was so good of him to go up there and help with the devastation up there.

The day before all these tornadoes came through, Bailee was invited to a birthday party at a place called Jumpzone. She had so much fun. I liked it too :)

Austin also had a blast on the little kiddie blow ups. Wish I would have gotten more pics but me and kids were having too much fun!

A good laugh

For Austin birthday (pics to come later) we got him a car that moves when you push something on the top. It will also move with a little rattle that came with the car. If the rattle is close enough, the rattle noise will make it move. So tonight Austin and I were sitting in the living room and the car was maybe a foot from Austin. I hear Austin farting and then I hear the car taking off. It made me laugh so hard!

Beautiful weather = fun in the water

The weather here has been beautiful the last few days and we have been loving it! It was so hot outside today we brought out our little kiddie pool and the kids loved it! Just a few pics...

On another note,

I've decided to try and get back into blogging. So here goes an attempt to write every few days or at least weekly. Wish me luck!
